The cooperative is a not-for-profit membership corporation - owned and controlled by the members it serves.Beauregard Electric borrowed 96.4 million dollars to make repairs from Hurricanes Laura and Delta and has paid nearly 2 million dollars in interest, which is not reimbursable by FEMA.
