First you need to get to the Altus Plateau and go to Perfumers Grotto. You can either use the Dectus Medallion to get there early or use the flying horse glitch. You just need to grab the grace in there. Second you need to do the flying horse glitch and fly to the forbidden lands and the Grand Lift of Rold grace.

I was able to get to Mtntop of Giants in under 2 hours from start, and most of that was trying to find a good spot for the horse glitch in Altus. Some things that helped me - don't bother trying to flying-horse-glitch all the way up to Altus, just run and get the medallion pieces and use the lift.Nah, if you kill him, and then talk to everyone I think that's when all the other stuff messes up.
