I posted in this thread about the Stant 10504 gas cap back on April 2019. I thought I'd give an update since this thread is, "new" again, and it will help others looking for a locking gas cap. I still am using the Stant 10504 (purchased Dec 2018) and happy to say, after 19 months, absolutely no issues with the Stant gas cap, nor with CEL.

This purchase of a Stant locking gas cap was just to add a little extra layer of protection from someone either stealing gas or just putting something in my gas tank. I know it’s probably rare overall, but just in case. So I have read the reviews, every so often there is a complaint of the gas cap being fake or not working right.
